WELCOME!
I'm a privileged kid (he/him) from Brussels, mainly working as an assistant booker for Greenhouse Talent and making music with my band JAKOMO. This page recollects souvenirs from my latest side project, playing and releasing music under my own name: Julien Tanghe.
Whilst my debut ep — The Impeccable Story of Prince Quarter — is the result of an intimate, introspective and slow writing process, the list of contributors grew as the project evolved, both on and off stage. First half was produced by Lucien Fraipont, second half by Louis Potin Paraisot, with whom we recorded drums by Fender Mackenson Rooms and bass by Bastien Scutnaire. Last track also features Gal Go on sax and Emma Hessels on vocal.

Live, we presented the songs mostly in trio, with Fender on drums and Bastien (or Rémy Stavaux) on bass. Lucien joined us on guitar for the release party at Pilar, where we also welcomed Jolan Decaestecker on electronics, Frederik Daelemans on cello and Jacob Hus on violin for a couple of introductory tracks. Even though the nature of the songs is quite fixed, we play with a free approach, aiming at creating a new energy at every gig.
